However I am proud to say that I've gotten into the gym roughly 2 out of every 3 days since my post, and both my wife and I are finally starting to notice changes. Especially squatting, where the first time back in the gym the warmup sets feel like working sets. This worked great! I started sleeping like a teenager again. Either wake up early and hit the books or hit the weights. I guess what I want to say is that I want to economize my routine so I maintain whilst cutting down time spent in the gym. You won't burn that much more calories doing sets with little rest, but, for me, the recovery is much slower when I'm dieting, probably because depleted glycogen reserves and low blood sugar.
